In a recent project, Todd Roberts Lighting approached us to help with highlighting key features within a stunning kitchen space, ensuring that every element of bespoke furniture and intricate joinery was given the attention it deserved. We sat down with them to discover their thoughts on the project and the end result!
What was the Project Brief?
Todd Roberts Lighting: The aim of this project was to highlight key features within the kitchen space, particularly focusing on bespoke furniture to create drama, depth, and an emphasis on intricate joinery details. Through thoughtful lighting design, we sought to enhance these elements while maintaining a cohesive and functional space.
Why Did you choose to turn to Lighting of London?
Todd Roberts Lighting: When embarking on this project, we needed a lighting supplier who could provide flexibility, high-quality fittings, and the ability to customise solutions to fit our vision. Lighting of London stood out for several reasons:

What Light Fittings did you choose to use and Why?
Todd Roberts Lighting: For this project, we chose to incorporate two types of fittings: the Follow.Me.R and Profile.40s.
- Follow Me R: These fittings allowed for significant adjustment, making them ideal for accentuating the large kitchen units. One of the key design requirements was to create a seamless look—where the fixtures were not plastered or cemented into the ceiling but still appeared as though they were part of the original architecture. Follow Me R fittings achieved this effortlessly.
- Profile 40s: Discreet yet effective, these fittings were used within the joinery to provide soft illumination. A particular focus was on gently highlighting fluted glass elements, and the Profile 40s delivered the perfect balance of subtlety and sophistication.
What Were Your Thoughts on the final outcome?
Todd Roberts Lighting: The result was nothing short of spectacular. Every aspect of the lighting design contributed to an elegant and cohesive kitchen space. The space was accentuated in all the right places, and the intricate joinery details were given the prominence they deserved. The ability to adjust and tailor the lighting ensured that the space remained functional and visually stunning.
